# Welcome to Xblu

> Trade forex, indices, stocks, commodities and crypto as CFDs, from one account, in your browser.

Xblu is a CFD broker. You trade forex, indices, stocks, commodities and crypto with leverage, in the Xblu web app, on a computer or on a phone. You open a position long if you think the price will rise, short if you think it will fall.

There is no token to buy, no wallet to connect and no chain to pick: you deposit money, trade, and withdraw. See [What Xblu is](https://docs.xblu.io/en/overview.md).

Two modes sit side by side in the app:

* **Paper**: virtual money at real prices, to practise without risk. Every account starts with it.
* **Live**: your own money, once deposited. Gains and losses are real.

You switch between them at any time, from the top of the screen.
