# Withdraw

> Take money out of your live main account, by bank transfer or in crypto.

A withdrawal leaves your live **Main account**. If the money is on a trading account, move it back to your main account first. See [Move money](https://docs.xblu.io/en/accounts/your-accounts.md#move-money).

A paper account cannot be withdrawn from.

## Before you start

A withdrawal is confirmed with a code from your authenticator app, so two-factor authentication has to be on. See [Two-factor and passkeys](https://docs.xblu.io/en/security/two-factor-and-passkeys.md).

## Request a withdrawal

**1. Open Withdraw**

On the **Accounts** page, click **Withdraw**. The page shows **Available to withdraw now**.

**2. Choose how it is paid**

Where the page offers both, choose:

* **USDC or USDT**: choose the **Token** and the **Network**, then paste your address on that network. Today the networks offered carry USDC: Arbitrum One, Ethereum, Base, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, HyperEVM and Solana. The page lists the ones open right now, and the minimum each takes.
* **Bank transfer**: enter your IBAN, or your account number and bank. The account has to be in your name: we check it before paying.

**3. Enter the amount**

The **Summary** shows your **Main account after withdrawal**. For a bank transfer, it shows the **Withdrawal fee**. For USDC, it shows what **You receive** and when it **Arrives**: no fee is taken, and you receive the amount you asked for.

**4. Confirm it is you**

Enter your password and the code from your authenticator app. If you lost your phone, click **Use a recovery code instead**. If you have a passkey, you can click **Use a passkey instead**. Then click **Request withdrawal**.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Only the token named on the page is sent, on the network named on the page. Check that the address is yours, on that network. A token sent to an address on another network is lost.

## How long it takes

| Method | Delay |
| - | - |
| **USDC or USDT** | Under our daily caps, it leaves on its own and usually arrives in 15 to 20 minutes. Above them, it is reviewed first. |
| **Bank transfer** | Our team checks that the account is yours and pays it by hand. |

A review is answered within 72 hours. Without an answer by then, the amount returns to your balance. Until it is paid, the amount stays held on your main account, and **Available to withdraw now** leaves it out.

## Follow a withdrawal

**Your withdrawals** lists each request with its progress: **Requested**, **Review**, **Sent**, **Arrived**. A crypto withdrawal links to its transaction once sent. A bank transfer shows its payment reference.

Each request also shows its state:

| State | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Being confirmed** | The request is written and the amount is being held. |
| **Being paid** | A bank transfer: our team checks the account and pays it. |
| **Being sent** | A crypto withdrawal under the caps, leaving on its own. |
| **Being reviewed** | Above the caps: our team decides within 72 hours. |
| **Approved, being sent** | The review is done and the transfer leaves. |
| **Sent to the network, waiting for its confirmation** | The transaction is on the network. |
| **Paid on** a date | The money has left, with the reference or the transaction. |
| **Returned to your account on** a date | The amount is back on your balance, with the reason. |

A transfer that cannot be delivered, or a review not answered within 72 hours, returns the amount to your balance.

## When withdrawals wait 24 hours

Any change to how you sign in makes withdrawals wait 24 hours: a password changed or reset, an email changed, two-factor turned on, a passkey added, a recovery code used, two-factor removed after a recovery, the address book turned off, or a freeze lifted. This gives you time to react if someone else made the change.

If your withdrawals are frozen, see [Freeze your account](https://docs.xblu.io/en/security/security-settings.md#freeze-your-account).

## Address book

With the address book on, withdrawals go only to the addresses in it, each usable a day after you add it. See [Security settings](https://docs.xblu.io/en/security/security-settings.md#withdrawal-addresses).
